Bright Hill Evergreen Home is honoured to receive the President’s Certificate of Commendation award in recognition of our dedication and efforts in the fight against Covid-19.
Over the years, Bright Hill continues to expand; increasing beds and improving facilities. In 2020, the construction of our 188-bed new building was hit by Covid-19 severely. The months-long delay posed a huge challenge for us and our residents. It was a difficult period but despite the many struggles we faced, we persevered and were determined to emerge out of this adversity so as to meet the demands of the growing needs of elderly care.
With that said, this award could not have been achieved without the hard work and sacrifices of our entire team; they displayed tremendous resilience and tenacity in providing consistent, quality nursing care to our residents during the height of the pandemic. Without the steadfast support of our partners; Ministry of Health, Singapore, Agency for Integrated Care – AIC Singapore as well as volunteers and donors, we would not be able to go above and beyond to render care to our residents when they needed us the most.
Bright Hill Evergreen Home has won the Charity Transparency Award 2019 under the Medium Charities Category on 3 December 2019. The winning of this award for two consecutive years is an affirmation of our home’s high standard of governance practices.
Our Home recognises the importance of good governance and transparency in the charity sector and adopts the nine key dimensions for disclosure covering areas such as board and executive management, financial management and controls, conduct of fund raising activities and disclosure.
We would like to thank our staff for doing their part in ensuring strict compliance to good governance. Thank you to all of our volunteers, donors and public for their trust and support in us, without which we would not be able to clinch this this prestigious award.
We are proud to share that Bright Hill Evergreen Home has won the Charity Transparency Award 2018 under the Medium Charities Category on 29 November 2018.
The annual Charity Transparency Awards (CTA) was introduced in 2016 by the Charity Council to encourage charities to adopt the nine key dimensions for disclosure covering areas such as board and executive management, financial management and controls, conduct of fund raising activities and disclosure. The award aims at promoting good governance and transparency in the charity sector and to give recognition to charities for their disclosure efforts.
Transparent disclosure will allow public and donors to have a better insight on the works of the charities, gain trusts and aid to make informed giving decisions.
Our home is grateful for the support given by our volunteers, donors and public and will continue to ride on our journey of improvement and strive for greater governance excellency.
